《Unit 5 Whose dog is it?》说课稿

Part 1 Material

Firstly ,let’s focus on the analysis of teaching content.

This lesson is a new one of Unit 5. The topic of this unit is about some verbs, like eating, climbing in PEP English book, the second semester of grade 5.In this lesson, I will finish let’s talk and students will learn some words and the target language and know how to describe animals.

Part 2 Students

Secondly,let me talk about the students.

The students are active and curious ,interested in new things .

After learning English for half a year ,they have some basic English background knowledge , so the teacher should attach more importance to the communication with them , providing them the chancses of practicing the English language.

Part 3 Teaching Aims

Thirdly,the teaching aims are established according to premiary School English syllabus' provision and the teaching material. As follows:

The first one is knowledge aims

By the end of the lesson ,Ss will be able to read ,recognize ,and use these words. And, these stentences.

The second one is ablity aims

After they learned this lesson,Ss can understand the meaning of the sentences patterns and know how to ask and answer the questiones,

Students are able to talk about what we learn in the class correctly and skillfuly ,and make sure that Ss can speak English fluently.In this part ,Ss’ability of listening and speaking will be developed.

Third one is emotional aims

In this lesson, the emotional is to help students cultivate their abilities of working in pairs or groups. To foster Ss’consciousness of good-cooperation and proper competition.

Forthly ,the main points of this lesson is :

To make suer that Ss can use the new words and the sentence patterns correctly and skillfully.

The difficult point is :make sure that the Ss can use the knowledge in the reall situation.

Part 4 Teaching methods

As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English is to cultivate Ss’ basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use “Task-based teaching method”, “Communicative language teaching method” and “TPR teaching method”.

Study methods

① Teach the Ss how to be successful language learners.

② Get the Ss to form good learning habits.

Part 5 Teaching procedures

Let’s focus on the teaching procedures.

I will finish the lesson in 6 steps.

Step 1. Greeting and warming-up

Greet with the students and sing a song together with them.

Step 2 presentation and practice

1. Activity one: use the pictures to teach the new words "eating, climbing and so on to the students " for example......

2. Activity two: teach the sentences to them. after teaching the new words, i wll introduce the sentence to the Ss, such as......

3. Activity three: ask students to read the words one by one. After this, use the words and sentences to make a short conversation with each other.

4. Activity 4: ask ss to listen to the dialogue for the first time and ask a queston: what is the dog doing. after listening, invite a student to answer.

5. Activity 5: listen to the tape again and answer the following questions : 1...2...

6. Activity 6 listen for the last time and read after the tape, ask ss to pay attention to the pronunciation.

Purpose: activity one to activity 3 will show the knowledge to the students and this will help them understand the dialogue better. From activity 3 to 6, different listening tasks will help them understand the dialogue better. These activities will help students form good listening habit and the konwledge aims and the key points of this lesson will be achieved as well.

Step 3 Production

Activity one: role play the dialogue .

Activity two: give some pictures to them and lead them to use the words and sentences to make conversation. then invite some groups to show in front of the whole class.

Purpose:Task-based teaching method and Communicative language teaching are used here.The activity is to develop Ss’ ability of communication, and also, their ability of cooperation will be well developed.

Step 4. Summary

In this step, I will guide the Ss to conclude the key words and sentences.

The purpose of this is to stimulate Ss’interest of learning English and wide their knowledge about communication across cultures.

Step 5. Homework

In this part, i will give my students a piece of homework , read after the tape and role play the dialogue.

Part 6. Layout design

Finally , I will write the key words and sentence patternes on the blackboard ,students can know the main knowledge in this class clearly.
