《It will snow in Harbin阅读课》教学设计
英语阅读教学在英语教学中占有举足轻重的位置,撰写教学设计和试讲也是近年来教招考试中出现频率较高的考查形式,能够测出考生的语言功底和表达能力。故设计好一堂阅读课是考生在面试中取得成功的第一步。本文以外研版小学六年级下册Module 2 Unit 2 It will snow in Harbin阅读课为例进行教学设计,该教学设计以学生的现实生活为出发点和归宿点,旨在发挥学生的实际语言运用能力。
Teaching aims:
Knowledge aims:
Students can use the words like snow, rain, windy, warm … into sentence pattern "It will (be) …".
Ability aims:
Students are able to use the target language to describe different weather in different places.
Students will understand the weather report and they can report the weather of their hometowns.
Emotional aims:
Students will interest in the topic and willing to join the class activity.
Teaching key points and difficult points:
Key points:
Students can master some useful words and can understand the weather report.
Students can use the words into the sentences pattern "It will be+ adj.", "It will+V.".
Difficult points:
Students will distinguish two sentences, and they can use them correctly when they describe the weather.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead-in
Greet students and sing a Season Song.
Ask students what the weather is like in different seasons and how to describe them. Then lead in the new class.
(Justification: The song is lovely so students will be interested in it. The questions can also help teacher lead in the new class.)
Step 2 Pre-reading
Teach students new words (snow, rain, windy, warm…) by showing pictures on PPT.
Teach students two sentences pattern "It will be+ adj.", "It will+V." and encourage students to describe the weather by using the new words and sentence patterns.
(Justification: Students will get some useful knowledge of the topic and can help them memorize the words.)
Step 3 While-reading
1. Fast reading
Read part 2 for the first time and then fill in the blank:
The date of this weather forecast is _____.
(Justification: Students' reading ability will be trained.)
2. Detailed reading
Read part 2 for the second time and then fill in the chart:

(Justification: This chart can check students if they have understood the passage or not. And review the words and sentences they have learned before.)
Step 4 Post-Reading
Practice the chant in part 1 and let them read after the tape. After 5minutes, several students will be invited to perform it in front of the class.
(Justification: This activity can help students improve their speaking ability, and can provide them a chance to memorize the content that they have learned in this class.)
Step 5 Summary and homework
Summary: Invite one student to summarize what we have learned today.
Homework: Ask students to draw a picture of a kind of weather and share it next class.
